"Rivka Nishmeret" (Rebecca is Protected) came about when a girl pal from high school, Becky Ward, was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2009
This compilation was created in hopes of raising awareness of breast cancer as well as raising funds for breast and testicular cancer education.
I enlisted the help of many different people from many different walks of life, from many different parts of the world, sharing two common bonds: entertainment and thinking any type of cancer SUCKS!!
...and Mother Nature's Rock and Roll Parade was born
This compilation includes jazzy, symphonic and orchestral instrumental compositions and bluesy vocal pieces from amateur and professional musicians and singers. The outpouring of support has left me with the option of doing a second volume of material to be released at a later date.
This CD is for all the people who have ever been touched by cancer in any form. Those who had it, those who have it, caregivers, boyfriends, girlfriends, lovers, fathers, mothers, children, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmothers, grandfathers, best friends, significant others, husbands, wives, co-workers...
Proceeds will go to help fund breast cancer awareness and education for young people through the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Young Survival Coalition teaching and informing young people of the threat of cancer, breast and testicular cancer specifically.
